Why Glendale? Whats So Unique About It

ACADEMICS

Every school transacts the syllabus, we focus on experiential learning wherever possible and therefore conceptual understanding.
Every school makes many promises; we walk the talk to a very large extent. Our student-teacher and parent-teacher relationships are very happy and fruitful. We understand our students and parents like no other school. Our core competence is academics and keeping MI in mind, we have created a host of activities to make the learning experience truly enjoyable.
Our activity-academic mix is judicious and varies at each stage to suit the learning requirements of the students.Everyone here enjoys what he or she does, it is not just another job that is done routinely.
We are truly unique - we have had less than 6 to 7 lateral movements over the last 10 years. Our staff attrition has been mainly due to spouse relocation

With constant endeavors to balance academics and activities, students do not feel the pressure of studies only, but at the same time know that they have to give due attention to studies too.
Remedial help being offered to students with learning difficulties across grades. Teachers are sensitive to such issues and coordinate with the counselor to help such students.
Equal opportunities and attention to all students so that even the most introvert child comes out of his shell and starts taking the lead.
Consequences instead of punishment for misdeeds justifies to students that they are getting what they deserve. There is no feeling of being victimized for no fault of theirs. Most important is the fact that these consequences are arrived at by students themselves, at the beginning of the new academic session, through brainstorming in the class.

MULTIPLE INTELLIGENCE

Multiple Intelligence theory and BCL that is followed in the school lays emphasis in molding the students in such a way that ensures the overall development of the students. A lot of emphasis is given on the professional development of the teachers where they are constantly given reinforcements to bring in new methods and techniques to the learning process.

Director's zeal and passion in 'cherishing the experience called childhood' is definitely a very big drive for all of us as this thought permeates at all levels. We are a complete MI school

STAFF & MANAGEMENT

The authorities and teachers here are readily accessible to students at all times whereas in most schools teachers are strictly prohibited from sharing their telephone numbers and staying in touch with parents and students after school hours. At any time, parents get in touch with teachers to pass on info, clarify matters, and share concerns, seek guidance, etc. With constant endeavors to balance academics and activities students do not feel the pressure of studies only, but at the same time know that they have to give due attention to studies too.
Remedial help being offered to students with learning difficulties across grades. Management is open to constructive feedback, innovative ideas and is very positive to dialogue and discussion. The same is seen with the Heads when children and teachers discuss why even debate and are heard.
                                                                           Minu (executive coordinator)

INFRASTRUCTURE
We are definitely very conspicuous in the sporting arena - excellent programs, coaches and infrastructure that invite the sports persons in making
                                                                           Minu (executive coordinator)

When I first visited the school with my family, the ambience of the school is what took my breath away. The beautiful Central Courtyard, the grounds, the Carnival Lawns etc impressed us deeply.
Last but not the least; the school tour helped us understand the syllabus followed, facilities and the extracurricular activities provided by the school.
The one's mentioned above were my reflections as a parent at the time of my children's admission.
                             Poonam pingali (Grade 6-C, class-teacher)

Spacious school grounds, open flexible classrooms, 'small size safe and non-threatening environment' and that magical patch of green which is our central Courtyard. We are a school where our 'actions speak louder than words"
                                                                          Minu (executive coordinator)

Ours is a 10-acre campus with lots of Open Spaces and greenery in abundance. We are a sport-friendly school that every parent is looking for these days for his/her ward.
We promote an overall growth of the child with equal importance to academics/sports/debates/yoga and other co-curricular activities for which we have trained coaches.
Our student strength of 25-28 per class is appealing to parents. We have large, well-ventilated classrooms with a limited strength. No AC in classroom due to ours being an activity-oriented school has impressed many a parent in my experience.

Komal Mathews (chief-corporate relations)

Glendale provides excellent infrastructure to the students and teachers alike, which paves way for overall development. Glendale stands unique because the management is very approachable.
